Later, the Alliant name was applied to machines made at some other place. Now-a-days, they look like every other chinese mill. Supposedly modern Sharp machines are the same as the original Alliant, and parts interchange between these machines. I wouldn't know, in many years of use I've never needed to make any repairs.
