I save the old carbide mills for roughing cuts on AR500. Once you get thru the rough stuff go back with a good mill for the finish cut. We try to do most of the cuts with the waterjet instead of plasma or torch. If you conventional cut 1 pass and get under the crust, you should have an easier time.
