I bought a clearance grinder at Gander Mountain during their Thanksgiving Day sale one year, normally like a $120 model and the thing runs like a champ. Though if I let the meat freeze just a little bit I can grind straight through without an issue. As for places Cabelas, Gander Mountain and Fleet Farm will have good models, though I think you can get similar stuff on Amazon these days. LEM is a pretty decent brand as well which is available at Gander Mountain and Fleet.
I have a Gander Mountain .75 hp grinder. It works great and is fast. I used it today to grind a deer. I spend more time washing it afterwards, than grinding. You get what you pay for. A quality grinder starts around $200.00 or so for a small one. I bought mine several years ago. I think it was about $300.00.
