Do you have the get the slide milled to attach an RMR? I was under the impression that you could just attach it to the top of the slide. I'm looking at getting an RMR (or some kind of sight) for my G19 and P229. If the slide will need to be milled before I can attach the sight, that is good to know.
I've got a Foster wad gun with slide milled for an RMR-6. I didn't do the work so all I can offer are pics rather than dimensions. As you'll see, after milling for the long dimension of the sight, my smith milled a slot in the slide perpendicular to the bore and put in a custom-fabricated mount that extends past the sides of the slide.

Milling A Glock Slide (August 12th 2015) Here's a quick project I did for a friend's Glock 20 in 10mm. He wanted to put a Trijicon RMR 3.25 MOA adjustable red dot sight on it which called for a section of the slide to be milled out and to drill and tap two 6-32 holes. The only problem is I don't own a milling machine, so I had to run what I brung and use my lathe.
